The Roman capitals, so beautiful, often push back with their precision, sense of perfection and strong geometry. I am inviting you to study them with me for an intensive workshop. We will quickly review the basics of historical roman proportions, necessary to have a point of start. Then we will transform them, playing with their shapes, sizes and structure, generating interesting calligraphic experimentation and perhaps approaching these wonderful letters from a different angle. My inspiration point, that I want to share with you, are Villu Toots (1916-1993) wonderful lively letters I studied for long time. As usual in my workshop, we will design and assemble a booklet with the exercise sheets.

This workshop is open to all levels.
